Biography
As a queer, Korean transracial adoptee, I understand the complexities of mixed and intersectional identities. I specialize in supporting teens and adults navigating racial identity formation, minority stress, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, and depression. My clients often want help fostering a deeper connection with themselves in order to strengthen their connections with others. They may find it hard to cope with our ever-changing world. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen and understood. I utilize a systems-based approach that acknowledges both the struggles and resiliencies within marginalized communities.
I am passionate about working with clients to help them overcome periods of transition and stress with cultural responsiveness, compassion, and sensitivity. I utilize an eclectic approach of EMDR (for trauma and related symptoms) and narrative-style therapy (focused on story) to create a unique relationship with each person.
As a social worker rooted in social justice and anti-colonial practice, I believe in the power of story, ancestral knowledge, and community to help clients thrive. I invite you to reach out for a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit. I’m committed to healing and liberation through our meaningful connection together.
Currently I work Tuesday – Friday via telehealth. I am in network with BlueCross and BlueShield, Regence, First Choice Health | FCH, Kaiser, LifeWise, and Premera Blue Cross.
