Biography
Restoring dignity is the underlying theme of my work.
Hey there. I am an individual and couples therapist who takes a depth psychology approach. This means we move beyond surface-level symptoms to uncover the hidden roots of your pain and desires. My goal is to help you move past "moralistic" or judgmental understandings of your struggles and toward true healing.
Working with Men
I often support men navigating:
-The heavy pressure of being a provider.
-Low confidence, "imposter syndrome," and constant comparison.
-Sexual health, including low drive or porn use.
-Making sense of betrayal and its aftermath.
-Navigating major career and relational transitions.
Working with Couples
I help partners work through resentment, disconnection, and the breach of trust that follows emotional or sexual affairs. We work to rebuild intimacy and a sense of "team" in the face of conflict.
Cultural & Spiritual Integration
As a Korean-American and a Christian with experience in ministry, I understand the complex intersection of faith, culture, and mental health. I specialize in Asian and Latino mental health, specifically addressing intergenerational trauma and spiritual conflicts. Whether or not spirituality is a part of your journey, I provide a space where you are seen and supported, not judged.
Professional Background
In addition to my private practice, I supervise doctoral students at Biola’s Rosemead School of Psychology, staying deeply engaged with the latest clinical research and training.
