Oksoon Cho

Dr. Oksoon Cho is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She has been working with Korean and Korean American families for their identity, mental health issues, and relationship issues in their immigrant life in the US. Dr. Cho runs Chicago Mental Health Institute to provide mental health services and educational programs for the Korean Community. She also teaches graduate students in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

조옥순 박사는 전문상담사, 청소년 상담사, 놀이치료사로 한국에서 정신병원과 여러 상담연구소에서 심리치료 전문가로 일해 왔으며, 미국에서는 Northern Illinois University에서 박사과정을 마친 후 심리상담 전문가 (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), 상담자 교육전문가 (Approved Clinical Supervisor), 그리고 부모교육 전문가 (Active Parenting Today) 로 일하고 있습니다. 한인 1세대, 1.5세대, 2세대를 위해 영어와 한국어로 심리상담을 제공하고 있으며, 지역사회를 위해 다양한 마음건강 프로그램들을 제공하고 있습니다. 조옥순 박사는 현재 글렌뷰에 위치한 시카고 마음연구소를 운영하고 있으며, 무디 신학대학교 상담대학원에서 교수로 재직 중입니다.
