Biography
Aileen B. Cho earned her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology & Drama Therapy (Marriage & Family Therapist Track) from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Theatre (Area of Focus in Psychology) from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Prior to graduate school, Aileen received California-certified training to work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault (DVSA) and has experience working as a crisis hotline counselor and Korean interpreter at a DVSA shelter and resource center in Los Angeles, CA. Her past clinical experiences include training and working in community mental health, the VA, middle school and high school settings and various treatment settings for eating disorders in the Bay Area. She is a past member of the Korean American Psychological Association (KAPA). Aileen continues to receive ongoing training in Trauma-Centered Psychotherapy and receives consultation from clinicians at the Post-Traumatic Stress Center in New Haven, CT. Aileen also teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Master's Level Drama Therapy Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, CA.
