Jayeon Kim

Jayeon specializes in 1) ongoing mild depression, existential crisis, and/or grief and loss for adult individuals and 2) cross-generational family communication. She is a female Korean therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She was born in the early 1980s and spent the first two decades of her life in a small coastal town in South Korea. She studied counseling psychology (MA) at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), art and design (BFA) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and clothing and textiles (BS) at Seoul National University.

김자연 님은 1) 지속되는 경증 우울증, 존재론적 회의, 애도과 상실을 경험하는 성인들, 그리고 2) 세대간의 갈등을 겪는 가족들을 치료하십니다. 캘리포니아주의 면허를 받은 한국인 여성 심리치유사이고, 1980년대 초반에 태어나 20여년간 한국의 작은 마을에서 자랐습니다. 심리상담으로 저명한 CIIS 대학원에서 심리상담학을 미치시고, 그 전에는 시카고미술대학(SAIC)과 서울대학교에서 미술, 디자인, 의류학을 공부하셨습니다. 심리상담이전에는 구글에서 오랜기간 리더십양성프로그램의 수석을 지내셨고 현재 CIIS에서 대학원 겸임교수로 재직중이기도 합니다.
