About I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and talk about the parts of life that really matter to you. Much of my work focuses on relationships—whether that’s parenting, partnerships, family dynamics, friendships, coworkers, or the relationship you have with yourself. Many people come to therapy feeling stretched by the relationships in their lives. You might be wondering how to balance your own needs with what others expect from you. Sometimes people even realize they aren’t sure what their own needs are yet. Together, we can slow down and explore what’s going on so you can find more clarity, confidence, and balance. I enjoy working with couples and families, helping people gently work through misunderstandings, communication challenges, and long-standing patterns that may be getting in the way of connection. I often support families navigating parenting challenges, couples working through conflict, and people who are managing cultural or generational differences. I also care deeply about helping people explore identity, meaning, and spirituality. For many people, culture and immigration experiences play a big role in their lives. You may find yourself code-switching between different cultures, expectations, or parts of your identity. Therapy can be a place where all of those parts of you are welcome. I offer sessions in English, Mandarin, and Korean. English is my third language, so you may notice that I have an accent. Many clients actually appreciate this—it often means I listen carefully, move at a thoughtful pace, and ask questions rather than making assumptions. My hope is that therapy feels like a warm, respectful space where you can be yourself. Together we can build a place where you can honor your story, discover new possibilities, and move toward a life that feels more connected and authentic to you.

Hi! I am a Korean immigrant and bilingual therapist based in New York, working along side Asian/Asian American Children, Adolescents, and Adults grappling with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Cultural/ Racial Identity, and Intergenerational Trauma, offering sessions fully in Korean if needed. Taking the first step toward healing takes courage, especially when the cultural narrative you've been told or heard growing up causes you to keep face, stay strong, and be selfless for others. You deserve a warm and non-judgmental space to be fully and truly yourself. My work is grounded in Narrative and Relational Therapy, believing you are the expert of your own story. Every story and voice deserves to be heard. Many clients also shared the value of unlearning internalized negative narratives, that actually were not their own. Therapy can be a space where you find your voice and spark again! I look forward to walking alongside you and listening to your story as I guide you re-find that spark and live a more satisfying life.

Taking this first step toward healing and rediscovering yourself can feel overwhelming, but it's can also be the beginning of a transformative journey that leads to inner growth and self-acceptance. I truly believe in creating a safe space where you can share your story, allowing your pain to be heard. As we journey together, my hope is that you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and grow into fully embracing who you are. I work from a trauma-focused lens to promote safety, empowerment, and healing for my clients. I have experience supporting individuals through a wide range of traumatic experiences and specialize in working with those who have experienced sexual trauma. My therapeutic approach integrates Psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family System (IFS), to provide individualized care tailored to each client’s needs. In our work together, we will emphasize holistic self-care, foster resilience, and approach healing from a strength-based perspective.
