I am a Harvard-trained psychiatrist who sees adults for both/either medication management and psychotherapy (primarily psychodynamic) in Massachusetts. My practice skews towards psychotherapeutic interventions, and I have particular familiarity with Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), CBT/ERP, and ACT. I split time between offices in Downtown Boston and Brookline and also see patients via telehealth.

About I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and talk about the parts of life that really matter to you. Much of my work focuses on relationships—whether that’s parenting, partnerships, family dynamics, friendships, coworkers, or the relationship you have with yourself. Many people come to therapy feeling stretched by the relationships in their lives. You might be wondering how to balance your own needs with what others expect from you. Sometimes people even realize they aren’t sure what their own needs are yet. Together, we can slow down and explore what’s going on so you can find more clarity, confidence, and balance. I enjoy working with couples and families, helping people gently work through misunderstandings, communication challenges, and long-standing patterns that may be getting in the way of connection. I often support families navigating parenting challenges, couples working through conflict, and people who are managing cultural or generational differences. I also care deeply about helping people explore identity, meaning, and spirituality. For many people, culture and immigration experiences play a big role in their lives. You may find yourself code-switching between different cultures, expectations, or parts of your identity. Therapy can be a place where all of those parts of you are welcome. I offer sessions in English, Mandarin, and Korean. English is my third language, so you may notice that I have an accent. Many clients actually appreciate this—it often means I listen carefully, move at a thoughtful pace, and ask questions rather than making assumptions. My hope is that therapy feels like a warm, respectful space where you can be yourself. Together we can build a place where you can honor your story, discover new possibilities, and move toward a life that feels more connected and authentic to you.

Taking this first step toward healing and rediscovering yourself can feel overwhelming, but it's can also be the beginning of a transformative journey that leads to inner growth and self-acceptance. I truly believe in creating a safe space where you can share your story, allowing your pain to be heard. As we journey together, my hope is that you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and grow into fully embracing who you are. I work from a trauma-focused lens to promote safety, empowerment, and healing for my clients. I have experience supporting individuals through a wide range of traumatic experiences and specialize in working with those who have experienced sexual trauma. My therapeutic approach integrates Psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family System (IFS), to provide individualized care tailored to each client’s needs. In our work together, we will emphasize holistic self-care, foster resilience, and approach healing from a strength-based perspective.

I am a licensed mental health therapist who is passionate about helping individuals lead more connected, balanced, and fulfilled lives. I have been working in the mental health field since 2017 after graduating from the University of Washington with my Master's in Social Work with a clinical focus on mental health. I serve adult women and hold all sessions via telehealth. I specialize in anxiety and trauma treatment, and I also have extensive experience helping clients navigate through life transitions, attachment issues, family of origin stress, depression, women’s issues, and parenthood. I provide compassionate evidence-based care as I use my clinical expertise to support clients. My approach to therapy is integrative and holistic, drawing from a blend of evidence-based techniques like CBT and the grounding principles and skills of DBT, such as mindfulness and emotion regulation. I also interweave the neurobiology of attachment and trauma into my work and use EMDR to help address deep mental and emotional wounds that feel stuck and stored in the mind and body. My work with clients relies heavily on neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to rewire and heal through new neural connections. My clients are the experts in their life story. I offer support and clinical tools that can help individuals take charge of their mental health with confidence and lead the life that is most meaningful to them. As a clinical social worker, I operate from a strengths and systems based perspective and ensure that I leverage my clients' naturally occurring inner strengths and wisdom in our therapy journey together. Rather than treating a mere diagnosis, I collaborate holistically with my clients in their environment to achieve the sustainable positive change and healing they seek and deserve. In my practice, I prioritize forming empowering therapeutic relationships with my clients to cultivate a sense of safety and trust. Helping my clients feel safe and seen is a top priority in my practice as a therapist. Clients can expect that I will attune to their needs and emotional states as I sit with them and hold space without judgment. They can also expect authentic connection and warmth from me as a provider. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey of self-discovery and growth as we work collaboratively toward your goals together!
