Jang Eun Cho

Psychiatrist

MD

I am a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who uses both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy to evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, panic disorders, ADHD as well as behavioral dysregulation and school difficulties. As a bilingual and bi-cultural psychiatrist, I focus on how cultural background, individual family dynamics, and ethnicity affect one’s life trajectory, mental well-being as well as personal and work relationships, especially in immigrant families of diverse backgrounds. It is my goal to help the patients and their families to understand the issues through the lens of cross-cultural psychiatry in a solution-oriented perspective and to become more confident participants of their own lives.

Let's be on a journey together to foster a positive and fulfilling experience in your life. My clinical experience includes but not limited to working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and marital distress. Hi, I’m Grace, and I help people navigate life’s complexities with more clarity, compassion, and understanding. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or relationship challenges, I offer a grounded and supportive space where you can explore what’s holding you back—and begin to move forward. I have a background in medical social work, education, and non-profit work. I hope to meet you where you are and help you find a greater sense of who you are, and help you find peace. My approach to therapy is first and foremost safety and connection. I know it is vulnerable to share your life, including your weaknesses, hurts, and fears. I hope that you will find me to be a safe place to share honestly. I draw from CBT, Christian counseling, EFT, EMDR, Mindfulness, & Narrative Therapy to support you in your healing journey. I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and open environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings and exploring all aspects of their lives. My style is very easy-going, collaborative, and honest. The first session with me would include introductions, intake, and answering any questions the client may have. It is also an opportunity to see if this client-therapist relationship would be a good fit, and if not, a referral can be made for other therapists who would be a better fit for the client. I currently have a few openings for virtual therapy in California and look forward to connecting with you.
