Biography

Hey there! I’m Sunny and I delight in supporting parents who love their children fiercely but feel stretched thin by the weight of the early years.

If you have a little one, you already know this in your bones. The days can be tender and beautiful, and also relentless. Big feelings in small bodie, hard bedtimes, loud mornings. The kind of exhaustion that makes you wonder if you are doing it wrong, when really you are doing something profoundly demanding.

I come to this work personally. I’m a 1.5 gen Korean American immigrant and a working mom of three little ones, so I understand the layered nuances many Asian American parents carry. The pull between cultures. The unspoken expectations and the deep loyalty and love, alongside pressure, guilt, or the feeling that you have to hold it all together. I know what it is like to translate worlds, to parent in a different context than you were raised in, and to long for a way of doing it that honors both where you come from and who you are becoming.

I’m also a Christian, and when faith is meaningful to you, I love thoughtfully weaving it into our work as a source of comfort, wisdom, and grounding, always aligned with your values.

In our work together, whether we are supporting your child or tending to your own inner child, I hold two truths at the same time. I bring deep clinical expertise in young children and early relationships, so we can make sense of what your child’s behavior is communicating and what they need developmentally. And I also make space for you, not just the parent part of you, but the whole you. Because your child does not just need your instructions. They need your presence, and you deserve support finding your way back to it.

My style is warm, grounded, and practical, with room for honesty and a little humor when it helps you exhale. We will slow down, notice what happens inside you in the hardest moments, and build tools that fit real life so you can respond from steadiness, not just survival.

If you feel like you are carrying too much alone, you do not have to. I would be honored to walk with you.
