Hi! I am a Korean immigrant and bilingual therapist based in New York, working along side Asian/Asian American Children, Adolescents, and Adults grappling with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Cultural/ Racial Identity, and Intergenerational Trauma, offering sessions fully in Korean if needed. Taking the first step toward healing takes courage, especially when the cultural narrative you've been told or heard growing up causes you to keep face, stay strong, and be selfless for others. You deserve a warm and non-judgmental space to be fully and truly yourself.

My work is grounded in Narrative and Relational Therapy, believing you are the expert of your own story. Every story and voice deserves to be heard. Many clients also shared the value of unlearning internalized negative narratives, that actually were not their own.

Therapy can be a space where you find your voice and spark again! I look forward to walking alongside you and listening to your story as I guide you re-find that spark and live a more satisfying life.

외로움에 휘말려 하루하루가 무겁고 삶의 희망이 없다고 느껴지는 요즘 쉼터가 필요하신가요? 힘든 마음을 잠시 내려 놓으실 수 있는 곳으로 환영합니다. 우울, 불안, 강박, 정체성, 자존감과 같은 어려움을 겪고 계신 분들 주로 상담하고 있고 아동, 청소년, 성인 상담을 통해 관계를 맺어가며 내담자분들의 삶에 대한 희망을 되찾기 위해 치유의 여정을 함께하고 있습니다.

저 또한 이민자이며 뉴욕 주민이기에 저의 이중문화적인 정체성을 가지고 내담자들에게 깊은 공감과 신뢰를 하며 세션을 진행하고 있습니다. 주로 세션은 토크 테라피 (talk therapy) 형식으로 진행되며 관계-문화 치료 (Relational Therapy)와 이야기 치료 (Narrative Therapy)를 주된 접근 방식으로 이용하지만, 내담자님의 필요성을 제일 중요시하며 맞는 방법을 적용합니다.

혼자 아파하고 힘들어하셨을 수도 있으셨겠지만, 회복은 혼자 하지 않으시길 바랍니다. 상담을 통해 매일매일이 더 밝은 날들을 기대하는 마음을 되찾으실 수 있도록 동해하겠습니다!
